Gujiya are fried pastry dumplings in the shape of a crescent with a crisp flaky crust. The filling is sweeeted nuts, khoya, or mawa. The crispy outer layer of the dough crumbles in your mouth as the sweet filling fills your mouth.

It is often made during the Holi festival in almost every household in North and Central India.
